A Bit About me

I am a development professional with overall two decades of experiences working in social sectors. My career ranges from Local, National & International not for profit organizations. I have experienced in designing, planning, coordinating, government engagement and implementing project through convergence with health and different government departments. I have worked 13 years to lead the large-scale program/project management, advocacy and liaison with senior government personnel, interface with state and national government officials in Madhya Pradesh.

I have managed the following donors; The Susan Thomson Buffet Foundation, Department for International Development (DFID), The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF)-SAAF and Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) to implement the program/project in collaboration National Health Mission (NHM) and other government departments. I have experienced for team & finance management, networking, initiating CSR funding, research & studies, presenting work on national and international forums and interface with donors. Prior to American India Foundation, I worked for Piramal Foundation, Ipas Development Foundation, Pathfinder International, and other NGOs.

I am a recipient of the prestigious Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program and holds Master of Public Health (International) from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. My long experiences of working in social sector has made me committed to continue serving disregarded community.

Currently, leading the Integrated Program at the American India Foundation (AIF),

Where we have successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Odisha. Working closely with Honorable Minister Smt. Basanti Hembram and Smt. Shubha Sarma (IAS) Commissioner cum Secretary, this program aims to address the holistic growth of children under the age of 6 by improving their access to nutrition and early childhood education. Additionally, we also aim to enhance the mental, emotional, and social well-being of adolescents to ensure educational stability and minimize the impact of COVID-19 in Odisha.

 Innovations and Achievement

  • The Susan Thomson Buffet Foundation, Department for International Development (DFID), The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) to implement these major programs in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.
  • Strengthened family planning services where major focus on “Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive” (LARC) training program at public health facilities.
  • Institutionalized “Comprehensive Abortion Care” training for medical officers and nursing staff to increase the accessibility of safe abortion services at public and private facilities.
  • Designed the program implementation for increasing the “Health Seeking Behaviour in Adolescents and Young Women on Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights”.
  • Institutionalised the community-based supply chain management and strengthened the “Family Planning Logistic Management System” (FP-LMIS). The various innovations were done while implementing these program implementations which were recognized five times in National Health Summit by Government of India during their Good and Replicable Practices.
